The Social Vault is usmewe’s personal asset protection system, designed to protect users from physical coercion, theft, and kidnapping.
The Social Vault is designed for high-value asset protection. It introduces intentional friction to protect against physical threats.

The Problem

Traditional crypto wallets have a critical vulnerability: if someone forces you to send funds at gunpoint, there’s no way to stop or reverse the transaction.

The Solution

Social Vault implements three layers of protection:

Timelock

24-72 hour delay on withdrawals

Multi-Sig

3/5 Guardian approval required

Duress PIN

Fake transfer for coercion scenarios

Timelock Tiers

Withdrawal delays scale with amount:

During the timelock period, Guardians are notified and can intervene if the withdrawal seems suspicious.

Guardian Requirements

Your Social Vault requires 5 Guardians:
  • 3 of 5 must approve any withdrawal
  • Guardians are notified of all withdrawal requests
  • Any Guardian can flag a suspicious request
  • Guardians can trigger emergency freeze

Duress Mode

The Duress PIN is a secret alternative PIN that:
  1. Displays a fake “Transaction Successful” screen
  2. Shows fake balance reduction
  3. Actually sends nothing
  4. Silently alerts Guardians
  5. Can trigger automatic authorities notification (optional)
Never share your Duress PIN with anyone. It should only be used under threat.

Use Cases

Attacker forces you to transfer funds → Enter Duress PIN → Fake success shown → Guardians alerted → Funds safe
Victim is held while transfers demanded → Timelock prevents immediate transfer → Guardians notified → Time for intervention
Attacker demands wallet access → Duress PIN + Timelock → Authorities can respond during delay
